You've probably been hearing a lot about Bitcoin recently and are wondering what's the big deal? Most of your questions should be answered by the resources below but if you have additional questions feel free to ask them in the comments. It all started with the release of the release of Satoshi Nakamoto's whitepaper however that will probably go over the head of most readers so we recommend the following videos for a good starting point for understanding how bitcoin works and a little about its long term potential:
Limited Supply - There will only ever be 21,000,000 bitcoins created and they are issued in a predictable fashion, you can view the inflation schedule here. Once they are all issued Bitcoin will be truly deflationary. The halving countdown can be found here.
Open source - Bitcoin code is fully auditable. You can read the source code yourself here.
Accountable - The public ledger is transparent, all transactions are seen by everyone.
Decentralized - Bitcoin is globally distributed across thousands of nodes with no single point of failure and as such can't be shut down similar to how Bittorrent works. You can even run a node on a Raspberry Pi.
Censorship resistant - No one can prevent you from interacting with the bitcoin network and no one can censor, alter or block transactions that they disagree with, see Operation Chokepoint.
Push system - There are no chargebacks in bitcoin because only the person who owns the address where the bitcoins reside has the authority to move them.
Low fee scaling - On chain transaction fees depend on network demand and how much priority you wish to assign to the transaction. Most wallets calculate on chain fees automatically but you can view current fees here and mempool activity here. On chain fees may rise occasionally due to network demand, however instant micropayments that do not require confirmations are happening via the Lightning Network, a second layer scaling solution currently rolling out on the Bitcoin mainnet.
Borderless - No country can stop it from going in/out, even in areas currently unserved by traditional banking as the ledger is globally distributed.
Portable - Bitcoins are digital so they are easier to move than cash or gold. They can even be transported by simply memorizing a string of words for wallet recovery (while cool this method is generally not recommended due to potential for insecure key generation by inexperienced users. Hardware wallets are the preferred method for new users due to ease of use and additional security).
Bitcoin.org and BuyBitcoinWorldwide.com are helpful sites for beginners. You can buy or sell any amount of bitcoin (even just a few dollars worth) and there are several easy methods to purchase bitcoin with cash, credit card or bank transfer. Some of the more popular resources are below, also check out the bitcoinity exchange resources for a larger list of options for purchases.
Here is a listing of local ATMs. If you would like your paycheck automatically converted to bitcoin use Bitwage. Note: Bitcoins are valued at whatever market price people are willing to pay for them in balancing act of supply vs demand. Unlike traditional markets, bitcoin markets operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Preev is a useful site that that shows how much various denominations of bitcoin are worth in different currencies. Alternatively you can just Google "1 bitcoin in (your local currency)".
Securing your bitcoins
With bitcoin you can "Be your own bank" and personally secure your bitcoins OR you can use third party companies aka "Bitcoin banks" which will hold the bitcoins for you.
If you prefer to "Be your own bank" and have direct control over your coins without having to use a trusted third party, then you will need to create your own wallet and keep it secure. If you want easy and secure storage without having to learn computer security best practices, then a hardware wallet such as the Trezor, Ledger or ColdCard is recommended. Alternatively there are many software wallet options to choose from here depending on your use case.
If you prefer to let third party "Bitcoin banks" manage your coins, try Gemini but be aware you may not be in control of your private keys in which case you would have to ask permission to access your funds and be exposed to third party risk.
Note: For increased security, use Two Factor Authentication (2FA) everywhere it is offered, including email! 2FA requires a second confirmation code to access your account making it much harder for thieves to gain access. Google Authenticator and Authy are the two most popular 2FA services, download links are below. Make sure you create backups of your 2FA codes.
As mentioned above, Bitcoin is decentralized, which by definition means there is no official website or Twitter handle or spokesperson or CEO. However, all money attracts thieves. This combination unfortunately results in scammers running official sounding names or pretending to be an authority on YouTube or social media. Many scammers throughout the years have claimed to be the inventor of Bitcoin. Websites like bitcoin(dot)com and the btc subreddit are active scams. Almost all altcoins (shitcoins) are marketed heavily with big promises but are really just designed to separate you from your bitcoin. So be careful: any resource, including all linked in this document, may in the future turn evil. Don't trust, verify. Also as they say in our community "Not your keys, not your coins".
Where can I spend bitcoins?

Mining bitcoins can be a fun learning experience, but be aware that you will most likely operate at a loss. Newcomers are often advised to stay away from mining unless they are only interested in it as a hobby similar to folding at home. If you want to learn more about mining you can read more here. Still have mining questions? The crew at /BitcoinMining would be happy to help you out. If you want to contribute to the bitcoin network by hosting the blockchain and propagating transactions you can run a full node using this setup guide. If you would prefer to keep it simple there are several good options. You can view the global node distribution here.
Just like any other form of money, you can also earn bitcoins by being paid to do a job.
You can also earn bitcoins by participating as a market maker on JoinMarket by allowing users to perform CoinJoin transactions with your bitcoins for a small fee (requires you to already have some bitcoins.
The following is a short list of ongoing projects that might be worth taking a look at if you are interested in current development in the bitcoin space.
One Bitcoin is quite large (hundreds of £/$/€) so people often deal in smaller units. The most common subunits are listed below:
one bitcoin is equal to 100 million satoshis
1,000 per bitcoin
used as default unit in recent Electrum wallet releases
1,000,000 per bitcoin
colloquial "slang" term for microbitcoin (μBTC)
100,000,000 per bitcoin
smallest unit in bitcoin, named after the inventor
For example, assuming an arbitrary exchange rate of $10000 for one Bitcoin, a $10 meal would equal:

So a couple days ago i found Honeyminer, it is very simple and comparable to Honeygain. Honeyminer is a cryptocurrency mining tool that cain mine crypto for you. It can use your graphics card or CPU or both. For now you are mining satoshi (every 1000 satoshis is 0,10 USD). You can see your potential profit for 24hr and for the month based on your hash rate. It is pretty simple and it does not use your network (only to log you in so it can connect to the online dashboard). After you started mining you can still use your computer like normal but if you are mining on your graphics card you might want to turn off Honeyminer so you can get better performance in game. You can convert your satoshi into Bitcoin and send it to a Bitcoin wallet. If you want you can create a account on Honeyminer and start earning or you can use this link: https://honeyminer.com/referred/5qic3 to get 1000 satoshis (0,10USD) for free after you sign up. For qeustions you can always ask me in the comments, Honeyminer is pretty new and I am also new to it so I will try to answer any qeustions as good as I can. But I do not know everything about Honeyminer yet. Link to website https://honeyminer.com/ FAQ https://honeyminer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/360002220672-General-Questions
Clixcoin, an Advertsing Faucet in which to invest online with crypto even for those with very little financial availability. First article of the month dedicated to advertising, now an increasingly predominant type in the sector of cryptocurrency faucet sites. Clixcoin, this is the name of the site, already has over a year of life behind it and at the time of writing we can consider it among the reliable sites. Thanks to our article, investing online with crypto on Clixcoin will become easy with the first steps. After logging in, you will immediately see the introductory page which in the center shows 2 main buttons: My account, which leads to the Dashboard, and Learn More which leads to the F.A.Q. page. At the top we have a menu that will be repeated in the Dashboard and that we will then describe later. Scrolling down the classic general information is displayed: last transfers, number of subscribers, main functions, etc ... Your Clixcoin account. By selecting My Account, the main screen will appear consisting of a menu bar and all the details relating to your account. The menu is divided as follows: - Dashboard: where are you now - Earn Bitcoin: the section that allows you to earn cryptocurrencies. Divided into 4 categories: Surf Ads, for which it will be sufficient to leave the page open until the timer expires; Active Windows Ads, with which you are forced to keep the page displayed on the screen open until the timer expires; Auto Surf Ads, with which you will earn a small amount of Satoshi by automatically letting some advertising pages scroll; Paid to Promote, where you will earn money by advertising Clixcoin using a link provided by the site. You can use it in combination with the many banners available. - Contest: the classic competitions that in this case reward those who get the most earnings from Referrals or Paid To Promote. - Miner: in this section you can buy a mining package by choosing from four different categories based on cost and power. You can buy as many packages as you want and each will last for 30 days. The accumulated Coins will later be convertible into Satoshi Bitcoin. Let's explore how to invest in advertising through crypto. - Advertisers: the section dedicated to advertising campaigns. Divided into four categories identical to those seen in Earn Bitcoin. The available options will allow you to enter title, URL, duration, description and activation after approval. Each campaign has a standard cost that will increase based on the duration of the individual advertisements. More accessible in terms of costs than other advertising sites. - Membership: as seen in other similar sites, it is possible to increase your membership level (divided into 4 levels) upon payment of a subscription. Going up in level will increase the percentage of earnings related to their clicks and those of their subscribers as well as a percentage on their purchases in the miner section and their level upgrade. - Referrals: all your referrals will be listed in my referrals including statistics and earnings obtained. In my referral link, your referral URL and a wide choice of banners of various sizes are provided together with the pre-compiled HTML code to be included on your sites. - History: lists all deposits made and cryptocurrency transfers to your wallets. The minimum threshold is currently set at 40000 Satoshi. - Settings: here you will be given the opportunity to decide whether to show your nickname during contests, to your subscribers and in transfers. You can change your password and your personal or FaucetPay Bitcoin address. Still on the Dashboard ... Returning to the Dashboard, let's quickly spend a few words on its content even if it is already repeated almost completely in the menu just described. In succession we have: - Main Balance which displays the total accumulated Satoshi. The Withdraw button will send directly to the transfers section. - Advertising Balance, with its deposit button, which displays the amount dedicated to the advertising section. - Referrals, shows the number of personal referrals and a button that opens a page showing all the clicks made by you and your referrals. - PTP, same as above but concerning the Paid to Promote. A button will send you to the dedicated page. - Offers and Games, not yet active. - Membership, your current rank. - Ads Surfed, the clicks made by you and your subscribers. - Earnings, the Satoshi earned by you and your subscribers. Finally, a graph showing your and your subscribers' clicks made in the last 7 days. Option that you can notice from time to time on the other pages of the site under the heading "advertise here". CoinPot: 7 Faucet sites to earn free cryptocurrencies
A group of top-of-the-range Faucet sites that will make you earn free cryptocurrencies quickly: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin and Dash. In this article we would like to describe in detail how this small group of faucet sites that rely on a single online microWallet: Coinpot. In our opinion, by far the most practical and famous of all the sites in the category for earning free cryptocurrencies. Before reading, we recommend reading the introductory article of our blog in order to better understand some terms and already own an indispensable personal multi-currency wallet. To earn cryptocurrencies, the first thing to do is sign up at the following link: https://coinpot.co No personal data is required, only the email address. As for the first 5 "Moon" sites, it will be sufficient to log in with the same email with which you signed up for Coinpot and you can immediately make the claim (always alternate reCaptcha and SolveMediaCaptcha). You will be free to choose whether to make a daily claim or several claims throughout the day. The minimum waiting time between one claim and the next is 5 minutes. Once you have made the first claims you will be able to see the crypto earned automatically credited to your Coinpot wallet. We will explain its functions in detail below. Follow this advice to Earn even more Cryptocurrencies ... And these are the top 5 Coinpot-related faucet sites. Always remember to log in by following the links we have reported. The greater the number of referrals you will bring, the greater your earnings. The "Moon" sites in addition to guaranteeing you a 25% of the amount of each claim made by your referrals, will give a 1% bonus (up to a maximum of 100%) to the claims you make with your account. Our advice is to create a main desktop account and a secondary mobile account in order to personally verify the real functioning of the system. Your personal referral link will be shown to you by clicking on the refer link located at the top of the page. 2 more Faucets join the Moon galaxy! In addition to the 5 sites mentioned above, there are 2 others that offer almost identical efficiency and functions: BonusBitcoin and BitFun. To earn free cryptocurrencies in this case you will need to sign up using the email address as done previously on Coinpot. Use the same credentials. The referrals program is exceptionally profitable as it offers a 50% bonus of every claim made by your subscribers. Even with a few subscribers, you will notice a steady increase in the cryptocurrencies you earn. BonusBitcoin can occasionally be annoying but still offers a daily bonus on the total claims made. The waiting time on this site is 15 minutes and the link to the personal Referral is available in the center of the page. Under the "Claim Now" button there is also another option: "Change your claim setting". Selecting it will open a small window: putting the check mark on "Always receive the average claim amount" you will always earn the same number of Satoshi for each claim while leaving it empty you will have the opportunity to earn 5,000 Satoshi with a single claim. The downside is that in the meantime you will get a lower average prize. Bitfun is by far our favorite Faucet site because it rewards with relatively high amounts and requires very little time to make the claim. The time interval on Bitfun is identical to that of the "Moon" sites: 5 minutes. You will find the Personal Refer link under Account. Brief explanation on how the Coinpot MicroWallet works. After this roundup of sites we want to quickly explain how the Coinpot microWallet works. In the main interface you will be shown the 5 cryptocurrencies that you can earn: BitCoin, BitCoin Cash, Dash, DogeCoin and LiteCoin. As you may have noticed, Tokens are not supported. In the drop-down menu of each Coin you can decide whether to deposit crypto in the microWallet, transfer them from the microWallet to your personal wallet, convert them all into a single crypto (to more quickly reach the minimum transfer amount on the personal wallet), undermine them with your PC or view the latest transfers confirmed by Coinpot. As for the Coinpot Tokens, the menu offers the possibility to convert them into other crypto, mine them with the PC or participate in 2 games of luck. Coinpot Tokens will be given to you in the order of 3 at a time for each of your claims made or 1 for each claim made by your referrals. A very useful section of news and updates is also available and fortunately there are very few banners. Last in terms of innovation, the Challenges, which you can select on the left in the summary menu. In practice, following a certain number of shares (claim, conversion of crypto, purchase of lottery tickets, etc ...) you will be given stars. The Challenges can be daily, monthly or linked to the achievement of a specific goal. Each star will guarantee you an additional 100 Coinpot Tokens. At the end of the challenges / Challenges period, lasting 30 days, those who have collected the highest number of stars will receive an additional maxi-prize in Coinpot Tokens. Finally, we remind you that for each transfer to the outside you will be sent an email requesting confirmation that will be valid for 30 minutes. After this period of time you will have to carry out the operation again and no amount will be lost. Keep following us! All the articles will always be dedicated to cryptocurrency faucets other than the previous ones that will allow you to quickly increase your earnings. List of bitcoin person-to-person (P2P) bitcoin exchanges (e.g., Bisq, HodlHodl, LocalCoinSwap, etc.)
Following is a list of P2P exchanges for trading Bitcoin. Common payment methods include bank transfer, cash deposited in the seller's bank account, in-person cash (face-to-face) trades as well as payment networks such as Zelle, Alipay, even Cash App and PayPal, for example. Any that I am missing?
Issuing money by global central banks is a great opportunity for stablecoins," says Digital Gold Advisor Dr. Walter Tonetto
Last week we talked with our adviser and CEO at Nusantara Trust Dr Walter Tonetto. He answered a number of questions that interest our customers. How did you land in the cryptocurrency / blockchain space? I was advising startup businesses in the technology space, and when 2016 came around, I asked Scotty, the feisty chief engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise, to beam me into the heart of the finance system; I felt more and more the irresistible tug towards remodeling the current toxic financial system. Purposive remodeling, of course, is going on all the time, and it’s a knife that cuts into two directions. The vast majority of the ‘woke’ crowd actually believe that they can ‘disrupt’ the power of the elites that control all money flows. Bathing limestone statues – registering about 4 on the Mohs scale and 0 on the scale of reason -- of past leaders in district waters may give you a feeling of breathing the air of revolution and tiring unknown muscle-groups in your shanks, but think of it like a father watching his child toss around shovels of soil in a sandbox; he smiles benignly from afar, knowing it won’t change a thing; all the luxurious appointments at home won’t get touched. It is a grave illusion to suppose that by playing around with payment systems and technologies we will actually change the role and the emission of money. You may be permitted to become the shoe-shine boy in the royal household, but don’t think you will marry the princess and dilute the royal blood! But understanding the constitutive parts of power aggregation, and working over significant time-frames, allows for approaches and solutions; -- but these should come not from another adversarial position, thus merely marking a displacement of the incumbent, a change of guard, but from an authentic re-orientation, of making benefits much more widely possible and not creating monetary systems that are grossly imbalanced and highly destructive. That, and not building tech stacks, is the challenge! What was your initial reaction to bitcoin? Well, I was following the file-sharing service Napster since it started, around 1999 – when the U.S.S. Enterprise was sitting pier-side at Huntington Ingalls Newport shipyard, rusted and gutted, and to me the P2P sharing paradigm was always present in my mind, shining buffed and radiant, so even the centralized Napster was something wholly natural to me – Dr Sheldrake calls it morphic resonance. We live with a great deal of blurriness, though. On the one hand, we think of the virtues of sharing; on the other, there is a seemingly indefatigable impulse to control and dominate. Sean Parker, after founding and floundering with Napster, became a cocaine-snorting egotist and president of Facebook. Collecting money for a charity, he gets aggressive with people who do not follow suit. A control-freak in overdrive. Notwithstanding the technical variations, BTC, seemingly freeing us up from fiscal controls and yet showing our craving for money, exemplifies the flawed perception at the root of things. Monero, which sounds like a much faster, highoctane vehicle, a CV8-Z of the crypto-track, beats BTC in regard to privacy and fungibility, though BTC has advantages in other areas. Which is a much more common trend nowadays? It’s hard to make out the shapes of wild-life in the current kangaroo market we’re in. The bulls and bears have mauled one another, and the kangaroo, bereft of oxygen on account of wearing a tight mask, is hopping wildly everywhere. But clearly the possibilities of digital currencies became un-tethered via Bitcoin and the querulous and hidden Satoshi. I like to think of him more as an idea rather than as a person; an idea is generally more malleable and consequential. For instance, rather than laud the benefits of crypto for FX and cross-border payments, the possibilities of a central-bank issued digital currencyENCOMPASS THE POTENTIAL to inscribe new roles for programmable money; for how money is issued, how it is used, and what role custodial mechanisms (traditionally in the hand of commercial banks) might have. I see HUGE potential for private firms to enter the equation here, but we need more open-minded and intelligent regulators that do not always look for the rungs of the career-ladder in any move they make! A DAO could be most helpful here, but we are currently under the terror of algorithms that are not concerned with the welfare of the greatest number of people. If I had the time I would coauthor a book on this theme with a skilful mathematician (perhaps with my son, who is completing a Ph.D in near-term Quantum Algorithms). In 2018 I was keynote speaker at the BlueWhale forum in Seoul, and I spoke about an Algorithm of Peace. I had a clutch of people approach me straight after the talk, some from Korea, others from the U.S., and ask me to develop my ideas in book form. Where do you see the price of bitcoin going over the next few years? I wouldn’t speculate, but since everyone is shilling it, it is bound to keep pushing north, occasional blockages otwithstanding. I always look for twists and incongruities in the usual narratives on offer. Many BTC fans talk about the unbanked, but BTC is held by what will become another elite in due course, and the unbanked will later be serving them the chilled drinks between innings, as usual. Do you think that there’s a time for altcoins to break out and move away from the movements of bitcoin? What’s that tipping point that needs to take place? I have some notions under which alt-coins can take the lead and leave bitcoin behind, but it’s too complex to explain the conditions for that to occur. Once very solid use-cases have been established with a clutch of alt-coins, bitcoin might begin quavering in his boots. That alt-coins should take BTC as a benchmark speaks volumes about the lack of maturity of this young and over-eager market. The fuzzy umbilical cord is always present like a foot-tangle; alt-coins must find their own ground, and clip the connection to a vagrant father. Finance needs clarity and not fuzziness. Keep in mind that many sovereign nations bridle at the calamitous influence of the US on payment systems, so nations are building their own messaging systems outside SWIFT, and their own securities exchanges are following. But remember: these are all crumbs: the U.S. can shut down payments to any recipient accounts by informing the payments company and doling out threats. And since all alt-coins and fiat currencies are connected to payment gateways in some form, the U.S. would have to begin reforming its archaic ACH structure to enable efficiencies in the financial pipes, which does not offer real-time payments functionality. This accounts for the relative simplicity (and success) of the PayPal business model (which Venmo and Dwolla later emulated without using credit cards). But understand that the elites will always protect the real crown jewels, and incite wars (or street battles and racial squabbles, as we’re witnessing in the U.S. in mid 2020) so that they can get away with major financial heists in broad daylight. It’s all smoke and mirrors, and scorched talons if you look closely: you cannot trust the reflection you will receive on a smoky pane. Only the big players know the predetermined outcome. One fundamental misprision occurs amongst alt-coin apologetes: they fail to understand how markets move and what the designated role of money is in markets. Even if you want to displace something, you first need to understand exactly what you’re dealing with, but that is rarely the case. Yes, banks are structurally and constitutionally part of the problem, but no government will dare cross swords with them: there is still too much aggregated power. Ripple and Stellar are two Blockchains that are working with, and not against, banks, and that likely makes them much better candidates for wide acceptance. What’s one must-read book you recommend to everyone? That depends so very much on who’s sitting opposite me! I wouldn’t push what is not naturally aligned. But I would push a couple of films urgently, as essential viewing for everyone: “Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe” (and a sequel), which profoundly shocked me, but confirmed my suspicions. Talking about books: one gets a good sense of the kind of books I would counsel people not to touch, unless an overweening impulse bade them otherwise. For instance Steve Pinker, a favourite author of Bill Gates. Pinker in Gates’ hands explains a lot about the character of the reader, the latter of whom I consider one of the most dangerous people on the planet at the moment. If we stay with Pinker for a moment, since he’s famous and fashionable (Harvard professor with a Medusa hairdo and an effete libertarian air, who in “Better Angels of Our Nature” has affirmed that man is not innately good), we note in his presentation in regard to his ineptly titled book “Enlightenment” that he falls prey to the very flaws he chastises, the classic Münchhausen trilemma (in Jakob Fries’ phrase). Picture Baron Münchhausen pulling himself out of quicksand by his own hair! That he is beholden to neoliberal befuddlement becomes clear when two of the opening images of his talk show Vladimir Putin with a rifle andDonald Trump speaking on a podium. The classic neoliberal Harvard think-tank shows reason to be failing and drowning in pious gestures to the cognoscenti and anointed. I like to look for effective counters for specious and shallow argument: for instance, Rupert Sheldrake’s “The Science Delusion” is a splendid book that bucks the Dawkins’, Pinkers and other materialists of this age. You see, if one listens to Pinker with the head alone, his pedestrian epistemology might not irk, and some ideas might appear plausible enough in a desultory encounter, but if you really want to know the meaning of things, and discover how it relates to the heart, you feel betrayed and given short shrift by him. Among the platitudes he gives out in carefully parsed syllables, the movement of his forehead and eyes betray the spirit behind the façade. Yet I always look, like Yeats, for those who “had changed their throats and had the throats of birds”! What’s the rainbow trout of the year? Nut-like flavour, the eye still gleaming, with tender, flaky flesh? There are many books I could cite for different genres. The vast majority of modern writers, for all their accomplishments, lack genius, don’t really understand the art of writing, and so cannot hold my attention for long. For those who are open-minded and spiritual, “A Course in Miracles” cannot be bested, but don’t touch it unless you’re really willing to dive deep. There is no need to save the world, since it is nothing but projection; there is no world. You might experience the deepest sigh of relief, as if Atlas had cast off a burden after the Titanomachy. Paul Celan once remarked that “reality is not simply there, it must be sought for and won.” Snorkeling near the surface and blowing bubbles won’t cut it. We are living in times of great manufactured unrest, which will only heighten in coming months and years, and so I would offer a guernsey to Seamus Heaney. I had met him many years ago, alas cursorily, at a symposium at Waseda University where I was working as a Gaikokujinkoshi, an Associate Professor, where another Nobel laureate, Kenzaburō Ōe and he were giving a reading. Heaney was inspired to write “The Grauballe Man” on the basis of the bog man that he had seen in a book of prehistoric times, but the troubles in Ulster were alive in him, too: As if he had been poured in tar, he lies on a pillow of turf and seems to weep the black river of himself. The grain of his wrists is like bog oak, the ball of his heel like a basalt egg. His instep has shrunk cold as a swan’s foot or a wet swamp root. Talking of Japan here, methinks, is an aculeate observation of Japan: Cross the intersection at Shibuya Station in Tokyo on a forbidding wintry evening — touted as the world’s busiest cloverleaf — and you will feel this is Eliot’s London Bridge revisited, with quaggas (think half zebras) preserved in the tar of the five crossings; — flattened ebon bones dreaming the dreams of Pleistocene mammoths — as the mass of the dead mill past you, chasing some mirage, and often accompanied by a revenant that must have been disgorged from a Pachinko parlour. Blanched lilacs float in minarets of light beyond these bituminous quaggas, bidding the odd-toed ungulates in their psychotropic dernier cri and fuddy-duddies in theirstygian suits to sup here or buy over yonder: all tethered to their devices. One might be surprised that no cracks are forming at these arced crossings with strange requisitions folding into the hiemal air. And yet it is still more odd that so few people see this as a primped and pimped potter’s field, a graveyard for those who’ve lost their way. We’re living in an age where the multitude of the dead are pacing among us in perdurable trysts with other zombies. The above text is from one of my unpublished works; again it speaks to me – and perhaps to you – about the quiddities of this age. There is a distinct sense of zombification taking place on the planet at the moment. Is your lineage that of Dolly, or are you magnificent and free? Do you have any theories about who Satoshi is? I don’t really, though I follow the haughty chit-chat at times, especially in the jejune forums LinkedIN provides. I think the person has a good reason to remain concealed (forever), but that is also a major factor why I have never fully trusted bitcoin as an investment proposition. Keeping the provenance concealed suggests a number of things, none of them conducive to embracing bitcoin as a common form of payment. What do you think about the prospects of gold in connection with the uncontrolled money printing by different Central Banks? Gold is what BTC can never become, especially when its provenance remains totally unclear – as well as its likely endgame! Central Banks engage in quasi-criminal activity – and one hopes the future prudent regulator won’t be making it too difficult for people to hold gold bullion. The Perth Mint might be a splendid little dot on the global map, but beware of holding your assets in the form of gold coins: many governments will regard them as forms of payment, and may impose all manner of restrictions on the possession of it. Let's dream a little. How stablecoins can be used after 5 years from now? I believe the great RESET is coming – even Davos and the U.N. are alerting us to that. The Covid19 panic has been declared by more than 1500 German physicians as a “global Mafia-style deception”, and while Big Pharma and Bill Gates will likely earn trillions of dollars by the useless and potentially dangerous vaccines that will be foisted on “free” citizens, the finance system as a whole will need to be RESET. We are already receiving an inkling of how draconian and void of reason and concern for the people most governments of the world are reacting to a harmless lab-manufactured virus (virologist Prof Luc Montagnier, Nobel Laureate in medicine in 2008, said that), so it’s possible that regulators may become more tyrannical, and under some pretext or other forbid the use of alt-coins. STABLECOINS can be over-collateralized, allowing absorption of pricing fluctuations, but it will be hard to call. I believe many are bound to fail, and that even earlier, despite all their most valiant efforts: as soon as the RESET comes, which is likely to come with all manner of encumbrances. There are many reasons for the issuance of stablecoins, some having opposing views, but all are dependent on trust – and we don’tknow yet if digital currencies that governments will issue will by regulatory over-reach (including absurd compliance requirements) displace other contenders, but you can assume that the tyrannical forms of governance we are currently experiencing suggest that all kinds of skullduggery are possible. Do you see the problem of fiat stablecoins in the fact that annual inflation constantly depreciates them? An investor who bought $1000 USDT now and sold these tokens in 10 years for $ 1000 will receive much less money. The problem occurs if we’re converting things back into payment forms that are fundamentally flawed. Inflation and Black Swan events are the major threats to stablecoins, and tethered crypto-values to natively burdened propositions recalls my earlier idea that we have not yet cut the umbilical cord to bitcoin. On the other hand, stablecoins in their current flavour are perhaps best viewed as transitional schemata that will need later revisitation. You are a very successful Crypto and ICO Advisor, what is the secret behind this success? I’m not sure if I’m very successful, but I always try to shoot a straight ball. Here are two instances where my input has not been heeded in any way. I recall one of the first ICOs I advised. I was sitting with the owner on a Telegram Channel, and after some power Q&A sessions online, we were literally hearing the millions of dollars tumble in neat digital hashes into the inbox within a couple of hours of the ICO opening. He had a bottle of Scotch on his table, and by the end of the session he had reached his hard cap and was besotted to boot! The age of digital money had placed the foolscap on his pate, but the script was no longer legible. I cannot determine if his sobriety ever returned. The prudential advice I had been giving him previously – and that we had discussed in great depth -- was over coming weeks thrown out of the window, and I assume other bottles of Scotch ended up on his desk and didn’t last long. Here is another example. At one time a well-known ambitious individual in the U.S. cryptospace, a young lawyer, asked me if I wanted to start a crypto compliance organisation with him. When I think of him now and the feathery assistants he congregated around him, I think of the lines in Dickens’s “Bleak House”: “Mr. Tangle’s learned friends, each armed with a little summary of eighteen hundred sheets, bob up like eighteen hammers in a pianoforte, make eighteen bows, and drop into their eighteen places of obscurity.” Simply to continue serving wine from the same sour vats won’t do. I saw that as a prospective idea, and offered some important advice to get the ball rolling. Soon we had recruited many eager beavers to the exercise, and there was talk of it becoming an influential body. I was naïve enough to assume at the time that my co-founder, a black college asketballer with body tattoos who had a write-up in a major paper on account of his ambition and aggression, was actually interested in asking some fundamental revisionary questions about compliance in relation to the freedom of the citizen. When I suggested we don’t just copy the traditional compliance template and rather probe more deeply, he became insolent and very aggressive. That confirmed my instinct that most ambitious players in the crypto-space are actually dyed-in-the-wool bourgeois, and don’t care about improving the system itself. What is your advice for upcoming Crypto startups and investors? You might know the technology well, but do you know the business? Does it really deeply address, even solve, a problem? How much life experience do you have, and how well do you know the market? Can you create a market for your product or services? If yes, how will you do that? Have you only got yes-men around you, or are you willing to listen to those who speak Tacheles to you? If you’ve come to water the plant of your ego, your business will flounder. Most achievers keep their ego initially in check, and get the work done. For investors the answer I would give is rather complex, but here’s a brief response: often the mandate of investors is very narrowly girded, and they trust their old boy networks, and rarely venture out and follow their instincts. That is foolish, and also the recipe for a dull life. Perhaps a general observation that everybody might ponder with profit is the idea that we know really so very little of the world; that the news and information we are are offered and digest, even when it is tendered by so-called ‘experts’, is often seriously ignorant. It seems our perspective is getting narrower all the time, as if our mind is shrinking and we block out knowledge. Let me give another current reference point. In 2020 everyone is fearful of viruses. Viruses currently have a bad rap! We have no idea what they actually are. We are always hobbling around with our fearful partisan gaze, and what is good today becomes bad tomorrow. Yet viruses are adroit and malleable messengers of inter-species DNA, in some sense regulating vast populations of organisms. Think of them as cellular simpletons: mere protein shells with few genes, but endowed with the ability to replicate easily despite their paucity of genetic instructions! They form alliances, you might say, with other forms of life. And they are deeply mysterious to our acquisitive and ignorant segmenting intelligence: how can the papillomavirus cause horns to grow on rabbits; and at the same time cause hundreds of thousands of cases of cervical cancer every year? Is one good and the other bad? It would seem so. Such simple summary, like Pinker’s reductionist view of the world, might becalm for a moment, but does not offer lasting satisfactions. To read the world along the axes of like and dislike, as the Buddha had warned us, leads to great suffering. I’m told by someone who met Bill Gates a long time ago that the man was apparently even then obsessively fearful of viruses (imagine a pendant to Lady Macbeth, continually cleansing his hands). But do we have any clue what viruses actually are, and how they benefit us all in so many incalculable ways? When the child crawls around, it picks up antigens (bacteria and viruses) and on that basis builds its immune system. At various points of that contact and exchange new forms grow, and other forms decay and die. Like CO2, viruses are suddenly declared dangerous and that we need to shield ourselves against them. Yet how many people know that marine phages rule the world, and rule the sea? This was not discovered until 1986. An electron microscope showed that every litre of seawater contained up to one hundred billion viruses, almost as much in dollars as BillGates expects to make off vaccines in 2020. If you put these viruses end to end, they would stretch out forty-two million light-years! Viruses offer stunning genetic variety, and they are the very pulse of life! When viruses swallow oceanic microbes, they release a billion tons of carbon every day: imagine squalls of marine snowfalls, powdering the porous sand of the deep. Imagine the white nights of St Petersburg under water, celebrating the magic of life with the same skill and abandon as the Mariinsky Theatre, to an audience of gastropods, deep-water fish and lovelorn mermaids. Seamus Heaney, when he passed in 2013, spoke the word Noli timere (“Do not fear”) to his wife as he breathed his last. Instead of being fearful, we might do well to assert that we understand nothing of the manifold wonders of this world! Let us cultivate the virtue of wonderment, and fear will find no habitation in our house: And lonely as it is that loneliness Will be more lonely ere it will be less— A blanker whiteness of benighted snow With no expression, nothing to express. They cannot scare me with their empty spaces Between stars—on stars where no human race is. I have it in me so much nearer home To scare myself with my own desert places. Gold Token; The stable coin that converts physcial gold to digital gold
Today I will summarize you a few knowledge about Blockchain Technology !! Blockchain, the preliminary block chain name is a hierarchical database that shops records in blocks of statistics that are related via encryption and make bigger over time. Each data block contains facts about the initialization time and is connected to the previous block, with a time code and transaction information. Blockchain is designed to withstand data change: Once the information is usual with the aid of the community, there may be no manner to change it. Blockchain is guaranteed via the layout the usage of hierarchical computing machine with high tolerance of byzantine mistakes. So decentralized consensus can be done by Blockchain. So Blockchain is appropriate for recording activities, scientific statistics, transaction processing, notarization, identification and proving beginning. This has the potential to assist put off primary results while information is modified within the context of world trade. https://preview.redd.it/vc68tqi4y8t41.jpg?width=302&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8d5aed8d16ed50e2369072fef89ea6977044d03 The first blockchain changed into invented and designed by means of Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 and changed into realized the following 12 months as a center a part of Bitcoin, while blockchain technology acts as a ledger for all deal. Through the usage of peer networks and a hierarchical statistics device, Bitcoin blockchain is controlled robotically. The invention of the blockchain for Bitcoin has made it the first digital currency to resolve the double spending trouble when a single amount of money is used two times. This technology of Bitcoin has become an proposal for a variety of different applications. Blockchain and cryptocurrency: Special blockchain promotes its strength in dealing with and trading on-line assets which are currently the maximum popular bitcoin. Since there's handiest a confined number of (21 million bitcoins), however the want to spend money on bitcoin as a source of asset replacements for gold, foreign currencies and shares. Constantly escalating, the rate of bitcoin has extended dramatically. Uncontrolled by means of the authorities, without inflation and having to exploit like gold, this currency is the supply of rescuing Venezuela's hyper-inflationary country - where humans hardly ever buy something with the neighborhood currency but owns the largest bitcoin mines within the global. However, bitcoin also has a dilemma trouble owned by the network that is nonetheless debating the answer. https://preview.redd.it/3z92nd37y8t41.jpg?width=259&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56d58048f948fb39388f5767ca8ae804f954ccde In the past few years, the Blockchain generation has been used as a device to document the records of cryptocurrency transactions. Bitcoin turned into a success and grew unexpectedly when it convinced the fastidious customers. Bitcoin is surely treasured and it's far traded and saved securely online. Everyone thinks that Bitcoin will open a new generation for industrial revolution, the 4.0 commercial revolution in which blockchain technology is widely used. The destiny of Blockchain era: The emergence of Blockchain as well as milestones when personal computer systems or Internet are born, this system will trade the manner we apprehend and understand society. The biggest capability is to create a place to use Smart Contract: agreements in contracts and transactions will be confirmed without disclosing data between events with a positive middleman while ensuring the entirety is the maximum obvious and sure. Information in Blockchain can't be counterfeited (but may additionally nonetheless go away strains), all modifications want to get consensus of all taking part nodes within the machine. It is a gadget that does not easily disintegrate, due to the fact even supposing one a part of the community is numb, the opposite nodes will continue to function to protect the data. Blockchain technology opens a new trend for regions along with banking and finance, logistics, electronics and telecommunications, accounting and auditing. https://preview.redd.it/q27oper8y8t41.jpg?width=275&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a50174b4e53d390fd89ba7647e66bbae2822519b Not simplest that Blockchain is likewise the center of Internet of Things (IoT). Electronic devices can talk thoroughly and transparently, unrighteous efforts within the Internet international will no longer paintings, and lots greater ...Currently there are numerous large organizations and companies which are constructing their own Blockchain network. So we can quickly see this could create a wave for the future.
GOLD: Gold has been broadly used around the sector as a means of foreign money conversion, both by using issuing and spotting gold cash or other steel numbers, or via paper money equipment. Converted into gold by developing a gold popular wherein the full fee of the money issued is represented by a gold reserve.
DIGITAL GOLD Securely Store and Make payments in Gold
DIGITAL GOLD is a task evolved based on blockchain technology. The intention of this project is to digitize the financial marketplace and at the identical time digitize their improvement funding units. The Digital Gold (link https://gold.Storage/) project will launch Gold token based on Ethereum ERC-20 and be sponsored through bodily gold. Users can buy Gold without delay with none drawback. 1 GOLD token might be equal to one gram of physical gold 99.99%. And the special aspect that customers can accept as true with is physical gold stored inside the company's warehouse. This makes customers in reality consider in the business enterprise's mission. Customers who purchase tokens can change not directly (transactions are done quickly due to the fact the challenge is carried out with blockchain era, does not require complex methods like normal transactions), can store it as saved store your house. Another super aspect, while the client buys GOLD token, the value of that token can be constant in step with the physical gold price at that point. So GOLD token is similar to Stablecoin, which enables defend customers towards marketplace volatility inside the cryptocurrency market, even as helping customers advantage from gold's long-term charge increases. https://preview.redd.it/x9c55brdy8t41.jpg?width=299&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aeeee0fe12a5b475a3cfc2441ff981abbd812b25 Currently, the utility of Blockchain era into payment is turning into extra famous and gold digitization will genuinely growth the attraction for this uncommon metallic. This will create a liquidity for GOLD token, ensuring that always, where liquidity is constantly maintained, customers can without difficulty capture the quantity of Gold tokens presently circulating inside the marketplace and the number of Token How plenty is saved in stock? Liquidity is the survival of the project. The application of Blockchain generation into Digital Gold task: the application of blockchain era into this venture helps to enhance the transaction capability, the transactions are made speedy, the transaction charge is very low, implemented via Ethereum block. The protection of patron records is likewise guaranteed from network assaults, clever settlement applications, supports all ERC20 wallets and Gold tokens on buying and selling platforms (accomplice platform). With the improvement of blockchain technology, gold can now act as a charge for all transactions, gold is not only stored however additionally traded as an investment tool. Hi Bitcoiners! I’m back with the 30th monthly Bitcoin news recap. For those unfamiliar, each day I pick out the most popularelevant/interesting stories in Bitcoin and save them. At the end of the month I release them in one batch, to give you a quick (but not necessarily the best) overview of what happened in bitcoin over the past month. IMPORTANT: none of the methods will work unless your address is whitelisted at Dcorp.it.
verify first or trade OTC
If you want DRPU, I'd like to trade your DRP for my DRPU
(2 DPRU for 1 DRP, the standard ratio).
(We can trade in small amounts if you don't trust me) Below I will describe three ways to convert DRP to DRPU or DRPS.
Please try the official way first.
There's basically two steps, each with their own sub-steps. I will first explain what the steps do, and then explain how to do them. No matter which way you choose (they just get increasingly technical). The first step is to approve the contract (there is two different contracts, one for DRPU, and one for DRPS, approve the right one). Without approval, the second step will fail. In other words, step one is all about saying "this address (the contract) is allowed to spend X amount of DRP from my address". Obviously, you only want to approve the right contract, not anyone else. The second step is to actually make the contract burn your DRP and return you the right amount of DRPU or DRPS (depending on which contract you talk to). The second step is exactly the same for DRPU and DRPS, the only difference is the contract adress. So don't use the wrong adress or you'll recieve the wrong coin, and that can not be undone! (you could attempt to trade it at the market though, but there is currently no way to turn DRPU into DRPS and vice versa, and neither can you get your DRP back). Now for the actual steps:
copypaste the address from step 1a into the _spender(address) field under "1. approve"
put the amount of DRP you want to convert, followed by exactly 2 zeroes (unless you want to send fractional DRP, in which case you add fewer zeroes, for example a 50 is 0.5 DRP) (Think of it like sending "cents" of DRP, so 100 cents is 1 DRP).
confirm with metamask
wait for confirmation (only 1 confirmation is enough) it should look something like this
it should look something like this you should have your tokens now, and your DRP are burned.
The hard way
Log in to metamask, or whatever your favorite wallet is (i will assume metamask in this guide but this method works for any wallet, although the steps wil not be exactly the same obviously)
go to settings -> advanced (helpfull image 1 and 2)
scroll down and turn on "hex data"
now when you send an ether transaction you should have a "hex data" or "data" field in the bottom. (It should look something like this)
MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR ACCOUNT THAT ACTUALLY HAS DRP OR IT WON'T WORK FOR OBVIOUS REASONS
calculate how many DRP you want to send, open the windows calculator in programmer mode (or any online dec to hex converter) and input the amount of DRP you want to send with two extra zeroes.
read the HEX value. (for example if you want to send 1234 DRP you should enter 123400 into the calculator, and your answer will be 1E208) Helpful image
If you want to send fractions, for example 12.5 DRP you input 1250 (so basically you multiply by 100) and you would get 4E2.
write down the HEX value in notepad.
copypaste this 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and paste it under your hex value
add 0s in front of your hex value until both strings are of equal length (you should have exactly 64 digits, no more, no less).
for DRPS: copypaste this "0x095ea7b30000000000000000000000003366cfd8dd3fc653e7dcd56cb9111d848b3732e2" into your notepad and paste it in front of your 64-digit number, don't have any spaces in between, don't add the quotes.
for DRPU: copypaste this "0x095ea7b3000000000000000000000000ee2972a6177c28f3efacb1862a1a8507c3f10faa" into your notepad and paste it in front of your 64-digit number, don't have any spaces in between, don't add the quotes.
Step 1d (same for both tokens):
if you have done step 1c correctly you should have something similar to "0x095ea7b3000000000000000000000000ee2972a6177c28f3efacb1862a1a8507c3f10faa00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000185ea" in your notepad.
send 0 eth to 0x621d78f2ef2fd937bfca696cabaf9a779f59b3ed and in the data field copypaste the data from your notepad.
Wait for it to confirm (1 confirmation is enough).
copypaste this into a new line in your notepad: 0xc6afd98a
copy the last 64 digits of the last string (the hexadecimal representation of the amount of tokens you want to convert) to the end of that line
you should now have something like this: 0xc6afd98a00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000185ea
for DRPS: send 0 eth to 0x3366cfd8dd3fc653e7dcd56cb9111d848b3732e2 with the data string you should have in your notepad (the short one)
for DRPU: send 0 eth to 0xee2972a6177c28f3efacb1862a1a8507c3f10faa with the data string you should have in your notepad (the short one)
The data always starts with 0x (this basically means, the data is encoded in hexadecimal numbers), the 8 digits after that is a hash (keccak-256) of the function name, so the contract knows which function you are calling, and which arguments to expect (for example requestConversion(uint256) and approve(address,uint256)) all other information after that is always exactly 256 bits of information (per argument), so 64 digits long (if the actual information is less than 64 digits long, it adds 0s in the front until it is exactly 64 digits long. Also, in ethereum addresses the leading 0x gets dropped (because the data already starts with 0x). Numbers of course are converted into hexadecimal, and in the "atomic units" of what you're sending (like a satoshi in bitcoin). DRP has a "precision" of 2 so if you enter "0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001" that means 0.01 DRP, and 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000010 means 0.16 DRP (remember, it's hexadecimal, not decimal).
Mirror trading international | Learn About the Bitcoin Trading
Mirror trading international - Bitcoins are the newest form of digital currency being used by many traders and investors. Any exchange market can trade bitcoins but it's a risky shot, as you can lose your hard earned money. One should be quite cautious before proceeding. Mirror trading international Mirror trading international | About Bitcoin: A bitcoin is the same as currency, though it is digital in form. You can save it, invest it and spend it. Crypto-currency once circulated the market and gave rise to the Bitcoin. This started in 2009 by an anonymous person with a nickname of Satoshi Nakamoto. The bitcoin has gained popularity during this year as its rate jumped from $2 to $266. This happened during the months of February and April. A process known as mining is said to generate a Bitcoin using powerful computer algorithms called blocks. Once a block has been decrypted, you earn about 50 Bitcoins. Usually, solving a single problem takes a lot of time, maybe a year or so. If you cannot do so, then there is another medium to get these Bitcoins; that is you simply buy them. Mirror trading international | Working of a Bitcoin: When you buy a Bitcoin you exchange your physical money and get the digital currency in form of a Bitcoin. It is very simple, if you want to exchange currency you have to pay for it in order to get that currency. Same is the case with the Bitcoins. You pay the current rate of Bitcoin. Let's suppose it is $200 so you pay $200 and get one Bitcoin. Basically it's a type of commodity. Most of the exchanges operating in the market make a lot of money by moving the currency in the market. They get US dollars by giving these Bitcoins and get rich instantly. But the thing is that as it seems easy to make money by converting the Bitcoins into Dollars, these exchanges lose their money quite easily too. Mirror trading international | Become a player In the Market: There are several ways of becoming players in the Bitcoin market. The simplest way is to buy a dedicated computer and install some Bitcoins mining software and start decrypting the blocks. This process is said to be the easiest possible way but it's slow. If you want to make money faster, then you have to form a team. You should organize a Bitcoin pool comprising of four to five members. Then you can form a mining pool and can decrypt the blocks faster than an individual can do You would end up decrypting several blocks simultaneously. Mirror trading international - The quickest way to make money through Bitcoins is that you should go straight to the markets. Go for the reputable and reliable Bitcoins exchanges operating in the market. You first of all have to register yourself. Sign up and make an account and then you must respond to the confirmations accordingly. This will keep you up to date about all the working stocks of the Bitcoins. You can trade bitcoins at any online trading platform. Some companies have even started accepting payments in bitcoins.
On August 1, Bitcoin resumed its original roadmap, scaling on-chain towards global adoption as Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash. It’s been just 3 and a half months since Bitcoin Cash broke away from BTC in order avoid a software mutation called Segwit, and to restore progress and growth to the ecosystem. After a recent price rally that saw us reach 0.5 BTC ($3000), the reality is setting in that an overnight ‘flippening’ scenario that some people hoped for is unlikely, and that we have a longer road ahead. It’s really important to remember how much has been achieved in such a short time. Let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come as a young community. July:

This rate and scale of industry adoption is unprecedented. With every BTC holder receiving an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash, and with the price over $1300, the rate and scale of user adoption is unprecedented. With fast, reliable transactions and fees that are less than 1 cent, and with both BitPay & Coinbase hinting at a full Bitcoin Cash integration, the rate and scale of merchant adoption will be unprecedented. With unprecedented industry, user and merchant adoption, it’s only a matter of time until Bitcoin Cash becomes the default medium of exchange and store of value cryptocurrency. The old Bitcoin is back. You can feel it. It’s the resurgence of a grassroots movement not seen for years. People are putting Bitcoin Cash posters in the streets, handing out leaflets, tipping strangers a few dollars online, and asking in forums how they can contribute to the community. Just in the last couple of days a ‘Bitcoin Cash Fund’ was established, to assist with marketing and projects. The initial goal was $200 to make a short animated advert, but over $17,000 has been donated already. All of this positivity and energy is inspiring. While businesses are being forced to abandon BTC due to exorbitant and skyrocketing fees (upwards of $10), they’re being cheered on every day as they embrace Bitcoin Cash. The original vision is still alive. As an early bitcoiner, I’ve never been more optimistic. Make sure you involve yourself in the community, we’re just getting started :) Reddit: BTC or BitcoinCash Twitter: twitter.com/BITCOINCASH Website: bitcoincash.org Dev: Mailing List Also posted on Yours:Bitcoin Cash: A Reflection on How Far We’ve Come
Tezos is a decentralized blockchain that simplifies formal verification, a method that mathematically proves the accuracy of the code controlling transactions. The Tezos blockchain has its own cryptocurrency called Tezos (XTZ), a cryptocurrency with two main functions – a self-administration system and the ability to form launch contracts using its own programming language – Michelson. If you decide to convert your fiat savings into Tezos or exchange other cryptocurrencies for XTZ, you may have to make a choice among reliable wallets for this. In this article we will look into the best Tezos Wallets so that can help you understand them better.
Nano S is a hard wallet from the product line of Ledger, a French manufacturer company. As all other Ledger products, Nano S traditionally looks like a USB flash drive. But this time, you will need to use the USB cable that comes with the wallet to connect to a computer. Ledger Nano S has a chip that is similar with chips on bank cards or biometric passports. Your private key is stored in an isolated environment and is effectively protected. Ledger Nano S also has a screen on it where you can see each transaction made. In case you lose your Nano S wallet, the account can be easily restored on any other Ledger device. Ledger Nano S supports over 20 cryptocurrencies including Tezos (XTZ).
Trezor Model T
Trezor T is the flagship model from the well-known Czech manufacturer SatoshiLabs. Model T has a color Touch-Screen display, an SD port and a quantity of supported coins – XTZ is among those coins. When Trezor T is not connected to the computer, it turns off and disconnects from the Internet. Thus, user funds are stored on the device beyond the reach of attackers. Trezor hardware case is ultrasonically soldered, making it difficult to be restored after being damaged.
Web wallets can be a simple way to get started investing in cryptocurrency. All web wallets can be used right from a browser without the need of downloading software. Beyond that, many of web wallets offer free mobile apps.
Guarda Wallet is available as a Web, Mobile and Desktop Wallet and a Chrome extension. It supports more than 40 coins and 10,000 tokens as well as XTZ. The web wallet enables to access cryptocurrency from any modern browser, the website itself looks presentable and made convenient to use. Using the mobile wallet, you can create a new wallet or import an existing one. Besides the common functions such as storage, deposit/withdrawal of cryptocurrency, users can instantly buy the exact amount of cryptocurrency using a bank card or exchange coins and tokens.
While Magnum is a multi-asset wallet, one of the best known assets it supports is Tezos (XTZ). Being a light wallet, you do not need to download the full blockchain of any of the cryptocurrencies it works with. The wallet does not keep users’ personal information. As Magnum is a web wallet, it has the extra benefit of being available for nearly any platform, easy of access from any kind of device with an internet browser. Magnum wallet also supports Ledger devices so those can be easily linked to the app.
Mobile wallets are used on your smartphone via an app. Similar to Apple or Google Pay, you can use mobile wallets when shopping in physical shops as cryptocurrencies become more popular and acceptable. Mobile wallets may be safer compared to online wallets and also be easy to use on the go.
AirGap is a wallet, that allows you to keep your cryptocurrency securely on your mobile. AirGap is a system with two device access: you can use your old mobile device as a hardware wallet using the AirGap Vault app to keep the private key there; while your working smartphone will have the wallet itself. The connection occurs with QR codes, this ensures a genuine one-way communication between AirGap Wallet and AirGap Vault. This implies that no private information ever leaves the air-gapped old phone. Besides Tezos, AirGap supports diverse amount of cryptocurrencies.
In spite of being a lightweight wallet, Tezos.Blue does not scant on security or its features. It is an original app and that is why it gets strong protection straight from the operating system. Using the Tezos.Blue you will have actual updates from the network for a truly live operational comfort. Tezos.Blue is also available in a desktop version. Tezos.Blue is also available in a desktop version.
Desktop wallet can be downloaded and installed on a computer. Desktop wallets may be safer if your computer is not, or more preferably, has never used the Internet connection. Desktop Wallets are perfect for storing large amounts of crypto that you don’t want to use on an everyday basis.
HD wallets (hierarchical deterministic wallet) are the wallets that use a single 12 or 18-word mnemonic phrase that is used to identify following addresses and private keys in a wallet software. Atomix is HD wallet that supports Tezos, it merges benefits of decentralized and centralized exchanges. With Atomix, all private keys are kept encoded on the computer. No identity verification or registration is required to use the wallet.
Simplestaking is Tezos focused wallet being a web app and desktop app with support for hardware wallet Trezor Model T. The wallet is developed using NgRx state management and Angular framework.
Galleon Tezos Wallet (Tezori)
Galleon is a smart open source wallet for XTZ that supports both hardware and software wallets on Windows, Linux and Mac. It was developed by Cryptonomic and funded by the Tezos Foundation.
Tezos CLI Wallet
The Tezos CLI wallet can be used by those users who have some coding understanding while it requires the use of command lines. Tezos has mentioned the wallet on its website and has been audited by an independent external security inspector. As the Tezos CLI needs some level of command line knowledge, it can be quite difficult to use.
How to keep your wallet safe
A cryptocurrency wallet can be regarded as a regular wallet with money, but it has advanced features, which increases the level of risk. Simple rules will help prevent the loss of your own savings:
Do not store large amounts for long periods on wallets that do not provide full control. It is better to store large amounts for a long time only in wallets that provide full control over the private key and, accordingly, over digital assets. This will help protect your coins against fraud and cyber attacks.
Encrypt information and back up private keys. In case of reinstalling the PC or the occurrence of force majeure situations, this will help to restore access to the wallet quickly.
Store secret keys on an offline device. It is preferable to use a platform that is not accessible for hacking via the Internet.
Use reliable antivirus software and update it regularly. This will prevent the leakage of personal data that hackers can use to crack passwords.
Register several types of wallets. It will allow you to distribute your funds and use the most suitable wallet depending on the situation.
If you use your Tezos wallet wisely and do not neglect the precautions, the risk of funds loss will be minimized.
I've spent the last couple months figuring out a good strategy to generate some passive cryptocurrency without investing money before a big bull-run starts. As Bitcoin is still fairly low, but cryptos have been risen again in the last weeks, it's best to get in now. I don't have very much time, so I examinated the best-working websites with the littlest time investment and the highest result possible. Disclaimer: This will be a long post and I'll tell you all the sites I use and how my strategy works. Use it as an inspiration and develop your own working strategy. Skip stuff that doesn't seem to be worth your time or websites you don't like. If you don't like to use a referral-link, just remove the last part of the link. Most websites will give you a bonus when signing up with a ref-link, though and I would appreciate it for the effort I put in this guide. I assume you have some basic knowledge on cryptocurrencies, a wallet and accounts on Faucethub and Coinpot. So, let's get started. Step 1: Claim once a day from stacking up faucets If you're familiar with faucets, you probably know the moon-faucets that pay directly to Coinpot. They keep stacking up until your next claim, so they are the best and highest-paying faucets if you want to keep your time claiming as little as possible. I suggest you use them at least once a day to accumulate the daily bonus that will really change your game. I do a quick claiming round once in the morning and once in the evening. If you have more time, they are also really worth being claimed more often. For the sake of completion I will include them here: Moonbitcoin for Bitcoin Moonlitecoin for Litecoin Moonbitcoincash for Bitcoin Cash Moondash for Dash Moondogecoin for Dogecoin Bitfun stacking up Bitcoin-faucet that pays instantly to Coinpot Two new exact clones of the Moonfaucets that pay instantly to Faucethub with no minimum. They also have daily bonus: Getcoin Bitcoin for Bitcoin Getcoin Litecoin for Litecoin And the last stacking up faucet for BTC: Yannik.biz So yeah, try to claim them at least once a day to maintain your daily bonus. The bonus can really be a game changer on these ones. Claiming them all will take no more than 5-10 minutes every day. Step 2: Receive daily interest on your faucet claims! Send your Bitcoin to Freebitcoin and receive daily interest on your balance once you have more than 30000 Satoshis (shouldn't take too long if you put in some effort in the beginning). You can also use the website as a faucet once a hour. It is actually paying well. If you use my link to sign up a new account you will receive life-long +12,5% on your daily interest and +25% on all your claims. If you already have an account, just create a new one with this link and delete your old one as this ref-back-bonus will give you a decent boost on your earnings. Freebitcoin is one of the oldest and most trusted website in the crypto scene! Step 3: Claim even more cryptos once you have some spare time Highest-paying sites I found where you can claim every hour along with Freebitcoin are these: Cointiply: very high paying and they also give you daily interest, but are tied to USD-rates, so you're better off withdrawing your satoshis to Freebitcoin once you reached minimum withdrawal as you would lose satoshis if BTC price continues to rise. Freedogecoin: Same as Freebitcoin, but with less functions. Bitsfree: New website with cool design where you can claim once a hour and withdraw to Faucethub at a fairly low amount. Pays pretty well. Claimbits: Same script as Bitsfree, but pays a bit less and you have to solve three shortlinks once in a while to be able to claim. It's still worth participating in. Remember: On every claim on these websites you have the chance to win a big amount of cash. So try to use them as often as possible. Unlike the stacking up faucets, with the exception of Cointiply, they don't have a daily bonus, so it's no problem if you ignore them for a while. Bonusbitcoin: Claim a good amount of satoshis every 15 minutes. Instant payments to Coinpot again. Click high-paying ads on AdBtc and Dogeads. Another good website for high-paying BTC-ads is Bits-Pays. Use websites where you can do surveys and all kinds of stuff to earn money that also pay in cryptocurrency. The best website I found that is similar to Swagbucks and has the option to pay cryptos is probably Grindabuck. Claim your daily bonus at Firefaucet, collect some Autoclaims during the week and run it during the happy hours on the weekend to get most of it. Instant payments to Faucethub. Step 4: Use semi-passive methods with crypto farming games There are some crypto games out there that have the ability to build you a decent chunk of passive income after a while. The sites require small tasks you do to earn crypto or credits which you can re-invest in stuff that will generate passive income for you. It takes some effort upfront, but once set up they will passively pay you with no additional effort. Here are my favorites: Satoshi-Labs: Claim from a faucet every 5 minutes, do surveys and shortlinks and re-invest your earnings in buildings that will generate satoshis for you every hour. Cryptomininggame: Play a simulated mining game and do missions to level up. As you level up, your earnings increase. This site has a high stacking up daily bonus and can be very profitable once you get to a high level. Bits-Pays: Has several options to earn passive income. You can play their mining game or buy company shares that will give you dividends. It has a lot of attractive offers for advertisers and very high paying ads and daily bonus, too! Bitcoinfun: This is a new website that works the exact same as satoshilabs. Once you're into satoshilabs you will also get Bitcoinfun. I see a lot of potential for this website. Step 5: Fully passive methods So yeah, let's come to the best part. There are options that require no effort at all! Let's go. I've already written about sending my satoshis to Freebitcoin for daily interest, but what you can also do is sending some cryptos to Eobot. They are probably the only legit Cloudmining platform out there that has been paying since 2013. You can also claim some GHS there every 24 hours if you set Mining to GHS 5.0. first, which is cool. I like to send some of my altcoins like Doge and Bitcoin Cash to them and convert them in GHS to earn passive Satoshis. You have probably heart it a thousand times on this sub, but you can also earn Bitcoin by using the two legit autosurfers that pay in Bitcoin by now. This is a fully passive method, just run them whenever you're online. Getcashfree and Fastcashmining. Another fully passive website planning to add crypto-payments soon is Radioearn. Use browser extensions that will automatically generate money for you just for using them: Presearch: This is probably the best search engine I've ever seen. After installing it will be opened every time you open a new tab. You can customize it, so you can choose from searching via Google, Amazon, Reddit, Wikipedia and much more without accessing the websites first. This is very comfortably and the best part about it: You earn Pre-Tokens for every search, which you can later exchange for BTC. Surfe.be: A browser extension that shows you some Banners while surfing the web and pays you some money for it. You can disable it at any time and it isn't over-present at all when surfing (I barely notice the banners). Claim every 24 hours from Mellowads and use it to advertise your ref-links. You can also promote your ref-links on AdBTC, Bits-Pays and DogeAds. Having referrals is another good way to generate some passive income. Sign up for Mannabase. This is a cool project that aims to create some sort of crypto Universal Basic Income for everyone. After signing up you will need to verify your identity and once they accept you, you'll receive free Manna every week. You can then exchange Manna for BTC or USD. As they have a lot of pending approvals, expect it to take 1-2 months before they accept you. Conclusion So yeah, that's basically my main sources and my strategy and I treat it as some sort of site-business. If I am lazy, I spend no more than 10-15 minutes a day to claim the stacking up faucets and daily bonuses on websites and receive my daily interest, payments from Eobot, crypto games and browser extensions anyway. It's really cool to watch your balances, bonus and interest grow over time and who knows? 1$ in Crypto could be 30$ of Crypto in the future. Use this guide as an inspiration to develop your own strategy of acquiring as many Cryptos for free as you can. For me these websites work the best. And I tested a lot of websites. Additional tips: Use different passwords on the websites and write them all down. It can be a hassle memorizing several passwords. Also create a separate e-mail-address for all the crypto websites. To make it easier handling all the websites, group them in a document e.q. all 1 hour faucets, all stacking up faucets and add links, so you can quickly access them when you want to use this particular group of websites. Be patient at first, your earnings will increase over time. Feel free to ask me anything, have fun and happy claiming! :)
