Is this printer safe for printing Bitcoin wallets?
I'm interested in this printer: https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/hp-all-one-fax-copy-print-scan I'm looking for a printer that will safely print bitcoin paper wallets. Please do not respond unless you are also hyper paranoid like myself. This printer uses wifi, which means it's connected to the internet? Should I assume that poses a threat? Should I opt for the non-wifi printer and only use an ethernet cable, like this one? https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/hp-all-one-printer-fax-copy-print-scan-gnu-linux Also, do either of these printers run the risk of finking me out? I mean, it's one thing to hide a bitcoin paper wallet, but what if the printer gets captured? Are my wallets toast? Will I have to destroy the printer afterwards? Thoughts are much appreciated.
Hi folks, TL;DR: A (web) app to print Bitcoin wallet private keys onto paper (as QR code) for the purpose of pseudo-cash payments. App can also scan these QRs, import the wallet. Good idea? Already exists? I was thinking yesterday that it would be cool if I could pay a friend a small amount (e.g. 1 euro) by handing them a piece of paper with a QR code on it. I think the only way that can be done is by sending 1 euro's worth of BTC to a new wallet and printing the private key as a QR code. Insecure, but hey, it's only ~1 euro's worth! The idea was to have a sort of fun, easy way to hand someone money (bitcoin) in a retro fashion, i.e. without everyone needing to pull out their phones. So I'd like print a bunch of these bitcoin "bills" some ~1 euro, some ~2 euro, some ~5 euro and I could carry them around in my wallet :) This will sound regressive to some, perhaps many people, but I just thought it might be a cool way of doing something retro with Bitcoin. The app would let you generate 1 or more wallets, send funds to them, and print the private keys to normal paper (A4) with neat little cut out dotted lines and the amount in BTC + amount in euro at time of printing. The app could also import wallets easily by scanning the same QR codes. It may be nicely hooked up to e.g. Coinbase so you can easily push/pull funds from Coinbase to create/import to/from the QR codes. What are your thoughts?
Can bitcoin be transferred on paper? I've heard of paper wallets, but it sounds like that's mainly a way to keep one's entire wallet secure. Is there a way, for example, to print QR codes that will allow someone to receive a set amount of BTC from your wallet?
Like, if I want to pay with bitcoin at a store but they don't have a way to receive it digitally, could I just have like a little receipt printer connected to a hardware wallet that could print a code to transfer the necessary amount?

After your done, print the physical wallet or download it as a PDF. I'd recommend printing the wallet directly because anyone (family, friend, hacker, etc.) having access to your PDF wallet can steal Bitcoin. Hope this helps! 🐈 ''' Context Link Go1dfish undelete link unreddit undelete link Author: elcryptoking47 1: bitcoinpaper*a*l*t.*o** Unknown links are censored to prevent spreading illicit content.

So I made a thing - AceTipper! for Bitcoin Cash. If you love tipping in BCH, this app will print your tip as paper wallet to be gifted, keeps track of them to see who actually claims them, and (best of all) you can reclaim the gift after a period of time if it goes unclaimed.
AceTipper is an application that will help you print out paper-wallets for the purposes of tipping Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to people who may or may not be familiar with Bitcoin. This application looks to solve 2 problems that I saw. 1) The need for the recipient (who may not be familiar with Bitcoin) to have to install a wallet in order to get some BCH can be a barrier. So with this app, you print out the tip as a paper wallet so you can hand them out to anyoneanywhere. 2) Another problem I saw was that many folks (like servers at restaurants) may take the Bitcoin Cash tip, out of politeness, but then never claim them. Therefore, you lose your funds for no benefit to anyone. So with AceTipper you can track who actually claims the tip - and if nobody claims it within a period of time of your choosing, you can simply take those funds back. This app manages your tips, prints paper wallets of various designs (one design so far actually), but also allows you to take back your tip if it hasn't been claimed for a period of time - say a year. If you have any feedback, I would love to hear about it. This app is Windows and MacOS. Download the Windows and MacOS Installer from Github bitcointipping for questions / feedback. Some notes: This runs completely on your machine as a desktop application (ElectronJS). The seeds for your wallet are stored on your machine. You are absolutely encouraged to make backups of your wallet seed. This is an open-source application. Here is a sample of what a printed BCH tip looks like.
